What is SVIEF-STAR?

As a sub-brand of the Silicon Valley Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum, SVIEF-Star Start-up Competition is the annual start-up competition for Chinese and American start-up projects. Each year, SVIEF will hold start-up competitions quarterly with the largest one in late September in Silicon Valley. The SVIEF committee has cumulated over 1000 applications, with 200 receiving media exposure. 100 of the submitted projects have entered roadshow section for investment and fundraising evaluation. Finally, only 10 of them can enter the finale and become one of the “SVIEF-STARs.” According to our incomplete statistics, our winners and nearly 150 projects from previous competitions have settled in the technology centers of different cities in China with financial support from the SVIEF committee, Chinese local government and top 500 companies’ investment.

During SVIEF China Tour in Beijing, three projects from previous competitions got showcased and interviewed by mainstream Chinese media CCTV. 10 projects had an exclusive opportunity to have close conversation with Silicon Valley guru.
