Bertrand also held management and founder roles at Neocom Multimedia and Arkadia Netsystems. Bertrand holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Master in Computer Science from ISEP, France. After years in console and PC games, Ralph founded FLARB in 2001 as one of the earliest developers of mobile games in the West.     Dr. Alan Chen has been with Perfect World since 2008, assuming the role of Chief Publishing Officer in North America and Europe. Alan established the company’s North American and European subsidiaries, Perfect World Entertainment Inc. and Perfect World Europe B.V., in 2008 and 2010 respectively and assumed CEO of these two subsidiaries since then. The two subsidiaries started with publishing MMO games and then evolving to provide western style games by acquiring game development studios in North America and Europe.  Prior to joining Perfect World, Dr. Chen had held a number of executive positions in the industries of computer gaming, IT, and telecommunications, and accumulated valuable experience in product marketing, operations, and professional services. From 2006 to 2007, Dr. Chen was the CTO of The9 Ltd. Prior to that, Mr. Chen had assumed roles including EVP of Hewlett-Packard China, responsible for the Enterprise Server and Storage business; VP of Professional Services of Lucent Technologies China; and GM of Carrier Packet Solutions at Nortel Networks.
