Chairman, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation
Deping Hu, incumbent Chairman of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was the former Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, a former member of the standing committee of 10th session of the National People’s Congress (NPC), Member of the standing committee of the 11th session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Member of the NPC Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee, and Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. With the transformation of global economy, biodiversity conservation and green development have been increasingly important and urgent. Biodiversity conservation has begun to lead the development of green economy, circular economy and low carbon economy, and it lays the foundation of China’s ecological economy. Mr. Hu believes that China's rapid growth in recent years was based on high energy consumption, excessive pollution, high emission and low efficiency. Hu urges the government to focus on sustainable development, what is called "Building a green locomotive for China", to enable the country to lead the global economy. With the leadership of Mr. Hu and his Green Locomotive Theory, the CBCGDF is playing an active role in biodiversity conservation and green development.

Baoxing Qiu

Baoxing Qiu, a Doctor of engineering and economic, now is the counselor of the State Council, Chairman of China Urban Science Research Institute and Chairman of China National committees. Before that, Dr. Qiu was Party Secretary of Jinhuang City, Mayor of Hangzhou City and the Vice Director of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural.

Meanwhile, Dr. Qiu is an well-known urban-planning expert. He used to visit Harvard University and participated in its research project as a visiting scholar. Dr.Kai-Fu Lee is the Chairman and CEO of Innovation Works which was founded inSeptember, 2009. Prior to starting Innovation Works, Dr. Lee was the Vice President of Google, President of Google China. Previously, he held executive positions at Microsoft, SGI, and Apple.

Dr. Lee received his Bachelor degree from Columbia University, and Ph.D.at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Lee has Honorary Doctorate Degrees from the City University of Hong Kong and Carnegie Mellon University. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Lee was the Vice Chairman of the Committee of 100, an elite group of Chinese Americans. He was selected by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2013.

After the transformation of early investment, Xitai Sheng has successively invested in Huiminwang (valued at $2 billion), Kunlun Fight (valued at $600 million), Intellicredit, DaVdian, and 8 more industry benchmark companies whose valuation exceeds $100 million. In 2015, Xitai Sheng was named one of “China’s Top-10 Angel Investors” by Zero2IPO Group.

Steve Hoffman

Steve Hoffman (a.k.a. Captain Hoff) is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and the Captain and Chairman of Founders Space. He has trained and educated hundreds of startup founders around the world. Founders Space is ranked a Top 10 Incubator in Inc. Magazine and the #1 accelerator for startups coming to Silicon Valley from overseas in Forbes Magazine. Hoffman is a founding member of the Academy of Television’s Interactive Media Group, was Chairman for the Producers Guild SF, and served on the Board of Governors for the New Media Council.
Rainer Becker
CEO& Head of Business Development Asia-Pacific, Car2go China Co., Ltd
Rainer Becker is the CEO of. and Head of Business Development Asia-Pacific for car2go, a 100% subsidiary of Daimler AG. Since 1998, he worked for several Daimler divisions and brands, such as After Sales, Operations Management, as an Executive Assistant to the CEO & President of smart, and Senior Manager Business Innovation. In early 2009, he joined car2go for establishing the second pilot location in Austin, TX, USA. From beginning of 2010 he served as car2go’s COO, taking responsibility for acquiring and rolling out a number of its European car2go locations, fleet purchase, product management and for designing and streamlining car2go’s operational processes. He is currently responsible for extending the car2go free-floating car sharing service into the Asian region, specifically into China.

Mr. Becker was born in Germany in 1971. He graduated from RWTH Aachen University with a Diploma in Aeronautics and obtained a MBA from Collè ge des Ingé nieurs in Paris, France. Besides German, Mr. Becker speaks English, French and Japanese.

Hasnain Chang
Associate Dean, Strategic Alliances
Connie Chang-Hasnain is Associate Dean for Strategic Alliances, College of Engineering, and John R. Whinnery Distinguished Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. She is also Chair of Nanoscale Science and Engineering Graduate Group, University of California, Berkeley. She received her Ph.D. from the same university in 1987. Prior to joining the Berkeley faculty, Dr. Chang-Hasnain was a member of the technical staff at Bellcore (1987–1992), and Assistant and Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University (1992–1996). She is an Honorary Member of A.F. Ioffe Institute, Chang Jiang Scholar Endowed Chair Professor at Tsinghua University, Visiting Professor of Peking University and National Chiao Tung University.

Professor Chang-Hasnain’s research interests range from semiconductor optoelectronic devices to materials and physics, with current foci on nano-photonic materials and devices for chip-scale integrated optics. She has been honored with the Quantum Device Award (2014), IEEE David Sarnoff Award (2011), the OSA Nick Holonyak Jr. Award (2007), the IEEE LEOS William Streifer Award for Scientific Achievement (2003), and the Microoptics Award from Japan Society of Applied Physics (2009). Additionally, she has been awarded with a National Security Science and Engineering Faculty Fellowship by the Department of Defense (2008), a Humboldt Research Award (2009), and a Guggenheim Fellowship (2009).

David Chen

David Chen is co-Founder and former Vice Chairman & President of VanceInfo, one of the largest China based IT services firms. He oversaw strategy and daily operations between 2001 and 2010. Before it went public in 2007 at NYSE, it was backed by prominent VCs including DCM, Sequoia Capital and Legend Capital. Now he is serving as Strategic Advisor for Pactera which is the result of merger between Vanceinfo and hiSoft.

Prior to co-founding VanceInfo, David held multiple management and technical positions at Asera, IBM/Crossworlds, KPMG Consulting, Oracle and UCSF Medical Center.

David is passionate about fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship and technological innovation across China and the US and he is current Chairman of HYSTA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to entrepreneurship and leadership among Chinese professionals and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. He is also an active angel investor and advisor for startup companies.

Shirley Chen

Managing Director, China International Capital Corporation Limited(CICC)

Shirley Chen is the Chairwoman of CICC Private Equity, Managing Director at China International Capital Corporation Limited (“CICC”). She has extensive experience in investment and investment banking. At the end of 2006, Ms. Chen began developing CICC’s private equity business which now has USD 2.5 billion under management, including a USD growth capital fund, a RMB M&A fund, and one real estate funds. Recently Ms. Chen and her team have won the prestigious contract to be the sole manager of the RMB 40 billion Chinese central government sponsored emerging sector guidance fund (fund of funds). Ms. Chen joined CICC in 2003. She was Managing Director of the Investment Banking Department. Prior to joining CICC, she was a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston and had worked in its Investment Banking Division in New York and Hong Kong for eight years. Ms. Chen holds an MBA degree from Yale University’s School of Management and a Bachelor of Laws degree in International Law and a Master of Laws degree in International Investment Law from Wuhan University, China.

Biao Cheng

Dr. Cheng holds Ph.D., Master and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo, the Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wuhan University respectively. After Ph.D graduation, he had worked in the Silicon Valley in California, USA for 15 years, worked at two startup companies and spent 10 years at Oracle Headquarters managing the development of Business Intelligence products. Dr. Cheng went back to China in 2010 and joined Microsoft ARD. Xiaoyan Fan

Xiaoyan Fan is a Cofounder and CEO of Yijian TV. Her working experience as Cofounder& COO of Senzhe Technology and Marketing Director for Xiaomi and JMEI social marketing projects provides a solid foundation of marketing business and skills for her. In 2013 and 2014, she worked as Cofounder and COO of Beijing Senzhe Technology Company and was responsible for business operation and marketing. Lixin Gao

Mr. Gao, born in Anhui Province, accomplished his doctor degree and master degree in Hefei University of Technology, majoring in Engineering. In 2007, he Received special government allowance from the State Council. From 2009 to 2012, he was awarded “National Excellent Scientist” and “Automobile Industry Excellent Scientist”. In 1998, he joined Shi Jiangzhuang Auto Manufacturer in Hebei Province, being responsible for product design, product development and business operation. Chengming Gu

Dr Cheng-Ming Gu obtained his PhD from Peking Union Medical College Hospital and his EMBA from Rutgers business school, the State University of New Jersey.

Dr. Gu has 15 years extensive medical experience at major multinational pharmaceutical companies. Before joining Pfizer in 2010, he held the positions of the Medical Director at Baxter Global and Baxter Asia Pacific. In those roles he oversaw global R&D projects and medical affairs for the region. He also led the medical team in Baxter Japan. Prior to this regional position he was the Medical Director at Xian-Janssen Pharmaceutical. Dr. Gu has extensive experience in medical affairs, clinical operations, real world data, medical science liaisons, medical information, outcomes research, etc.

Before joining the industry, Dr. Gu was trained as a gastroenterologist in China with additional training in the US and Canada. He has 15 years clinical practice as medical doctor or visiting scholar at domestic and overseas hospitals, including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Medical College of Wisconsin and University of Montreal.

Lu Zhaoxia has been appointed as the informatization consultant for many provinces and cities, such as Liaoning, Shenyang, Yangzhou, Yuxi, Nanhai, and Jiangmen. She has provided many practical suggestions on the construction of e-government, published a large number of literatures, and also made valuable contributions to promote the construction of national e-government.

Jack’s technical genius has permeated consumers’ everyday lives and some creations are synonymous with popular entertainment. Xiaoru Wu

Yang Yao

Lu Zhang is the Founding and Managing Partner of NewGen Capital. Prior to starting NewGen, she was a Venture Partner at Fenox Venture Capital. She participated in over 20 investments and assisted fundraising in Asia. Lu was also the Founder and CEO of Acetone Inc. (acquired 2012), a start-up focused on developing device technology for the early diagnosis of Type II diabetes. She has also worked as a consultant at the United Nations Industrial Development Agency and was the former head of International Student Entrepreneurs Union in China. Lu received her M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and holds over a dozen patents. Lu is frequently invited to speak at events and be advisors to the innovation programs.

Mr Zhu Jiang joined Heidelberger China in 1999,and was responsible for marketing and sale of small device. From 2002 to 2003, Mr Zhu worked as senior sales consultant in Beijing Beixinghang Sales Company. From 2003 to 2008, Mr Zhu joined BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd and was responsible for marketing. In 2008, Mr Zhu was promoted as vice president of MINI brand management in BMW China. From 2013 to 2014, he took over the position of vice president of Kindle brand marketing in Amazon China. In July, 2014, Mr Zhu joined LEXUS China as vice president and was responsible for product marketing and promoting.
